Location:
Bangkok Shambhala Meditation Center
Please join us for a Zen meditation and study session at the Bangkok Shambhala Center, 10 AM until noon on Sundays.

The Zen school of Buddhism provides direct access to study our hearts and minds, release long-held destructive patterns, and ultimately allows insight into the ground of reality. The Zen path steadily reveals our inherent wisdom and compassion and eventually we realize that each step along the path, from the very beginning, is enlightenment itself.

In this weekly class, we'll sit two 30 minute periods of zazen in stillness and silence, followed by a period of study and discussion. Zen meditation instruction will be provided for those who are new.

The instructor: Chris Abraham is a long-term Zen practitioner and senior student of the Mountains and Rivers Order of Zen Buddhism. He has spent years in monastic training at Zen Mountain Monastery and has previously started meditation groups in Bali and Chiang Mai.  Over the past year he has been an active participant at our Shambhala group here in Bangkok.

No previous attendance, registration, or fee is required to attend.  The suggested donation is 200 Baht.   The Bangkok Shambhala Center (which is a Thai non-profit Association) remains open because of the ongoing generosity of our members and program participants.
